When I was nineteen I found out I was pregnant. I was so scared and I didn’t know what to do. I was single and all I had for income was a part time waitressing job. My friend and I drove by the Pregnancy Center and I went in hoping they could help me with what to do. I know I wanted to keep the baby, I just didn’t know what I was supposed to do to take care of myself or a baby.
When I went in the center they confirmed my positive pregnancy test and they talked with me about my options and my opportunity for education on parenting. They told me about Medicaid for pregnant women and classes I could take to learn and get free baby items. It gave me a foundation to start building on. It gave me hope and calmed some of my fears.
I remember they talked to me about God and prayed with me. My Life Coach didn’t judge me and seemed really understanding. It was what I needed.
Five years later, I have a personal relationship with God and it has changed my life. I am married and my third child is on the way. I am so grateful for the Pregnancy Center being my place for hope. Now, I hope to help others as well and am a Life Coach at the same Pregnancy Center that I went to five years ago. Thank you Pregnancy Center!
